You can still make a huge difference in a kitten or puppies life by sponsoring their first 8 weeks of life before they are adoptable at 8 weeks of age. Find the kitten or puppy you want to financially foster for a one-time $75 donation, or anything you can help with.
Your donation will help to cover a portion of their expenses as they grow and thrive in their foster home or here at the Des Moines County Humane Society. Kittens and puppies have wellness visits at four and six weeks of age, receive vaccinations, treatment for parasites (de-wormer), and prevention for flea and ticks in addition to being spayed/neutered when they are of age. This top-notch care comes with a financial weight. Kittens and puppies eat alot of food while growing also. The time you spend to socialize these babies is precious, what they get from it is rewarding.

Financially fostering may give you priority for adopting when the kitty is ready. Just let us know and fill out an application.
You can also make a difference in any cat or dogs life in the shelter by helping financially with food, care, wellness. Toys, bones, food are just a few items we use to keep everyone in good spirits.
