The dogs on this page are not currently available for adoption, they were brought in as lost/found strays. If you know one please let the owner know they are here. Or contact us to let us know the owner at 319-753-8389. Do not put in an application for these dogs, wait until they are in available status. Any application put in before that gets bumped out of our system.
We hold dogs with collars for 7 days and dogs with no collars for 3 days. Once that time is up and no one has claimed the sweet pup they will get put up for adoption.
Dog impound fees: First Impound $25, second Impound $35, third Impound $50. Rabies not up to date $45 (you get a voucher to get the rabies shot at Summer Street or Allgood), you will need a copy of the rabies certificate for proof. BuddyID microchips are placed in any pet released to owner in the City of Burlington, cost is $20, this is also activated in the cost. You can also get dog park tags each year here for $10. Each day your dog is here adds $15 for boarding, Mondays do not count as we are no open to the public.
